Assistant professor Chai-Shian Kua attended the Plant & Animal Genome Conference in San Diego, California (January 10-12th, 2009). She presented 2 talks : “Developing Model System Approaches For Applied And Basic Research Of Southeast Asian Peat Forest: Next-Gen Sequencing Of A Critically Endangered Timber Species (Gonystylus bancanus)” and “Comparative Genomics In The Chestnut Subfamily, Particularly Of The Stone Oaks (Lithocarpus)” in the Forest Trees workshop.
Plant and Animal Genome Conference, held annually in San Diego, is designed to provide a forum on recent developments and future plans for the various plant, animal and microbial genome projects.
